In Fireboy and Watergirl 1 Forest Temple, your task is to help two heroes face off against a variety of enigmatic enemies and solve puzzles on a platform. Fireboy and Watergirl are at your disposal as you work through the 32 riddles of the Forest Temple in this action-adventure game. A minimum of two players is required to accomplish each level. On each floor, you'll find an elevator control lever and a gate control lever. If one of the players pulls the lever, it remains in that position. In contrast to the use of levers, the pressing of buttons is required to activate the features of subsequent levels. Sometimes one player may hold the button while the other presses up. When attempting to ascend a very steep ramp, it may be necessary to reposition certain boxes towards the base of the slope so that they may be used as stepping stones. Always watch where you're pushing the box to ensure you're not damaging it. Since the boxes are too close to the wall to be pushed back, the only choice for getting them out of the way of the wall is to start the whole procedure over again. The completion of a level requires the appearance of Fireboy and Watergirl, who must then stand in front of the door leading to the next area.
